I was looking at the Transformers covers and like the framed images :)
Whats the best way to obtain frames to put round pictures/screenshots, i have a 'frame font' but its pretty basic and was wondering whether you just make your own or is there a plugin/template etc.

Frames as in the Transformers cover are usually made by actually designing/ drawing the shape with PS. You can then use a plugin like Eye Candy (not free) to achieve a chromed look. That how I do it but there are many ways of doing it..

I have quite a few ready made frames,i'll upload them to the "tools of the trade" section. They do add a bit more impact to your covers. They are all in .PSD format, ready to use in Photoshop. Also they are all the correct size for regular covers i.e: 3240x2175.

Is that the main frame. or the ones surrounding the screenshots, ive a few covers with screenshots on that need a frame to add to the impact :)

The ones i'll upload are what i used to frame my Transformers cover. The ones round the screenshots on the back were simply a custom shape, then i used a chrome filter(i used Alien Skin Eye Candy-a set of 22 filters).
I also use Alien Skin Impact,Nature,Textures,Snap Art,Xenofex 2,and a few of the Auto FX filter sets.

Great main templates thanks for them they will come in useful. :)
Now as for the custom frame around screenshots using eye-candy i have got
Blow Up 1.0
Exposure 1.0
Eye Candy 5.1 Impact
Eye Candy 5.1 Nature
Eye Candy 5.1 Textures
Eye Candy 4000
Image Doctor 1.0
Splat 1.0
Xenofex 2.1
any chance of a quick guide as to how to create a nice frame pretty please with these :D
