Neather oe these are finished, but I thought I would go ahead and show them off. The second is from the comic book of the movie.

First, I like them they are coming along nicely. I realize that these are WIP and am just offering my feedback as I see them right now.

On the first cover: Take a look at the image placement on the reverse side. 3rd from the top needs to move to the right a bit. I like the look. I really like the symbols on the spine. One thing tha you may have a problem with is figuring out what to do with the synopsis, specs, and so on for the reverse. You really did not give yourself much room to work with.
The second: I think thatt his leans to more origionality that the first. I can assure you ther will not be too many of these types of covers out there. Keep an eye out on that negative space right of the title on the front. It looks unfinished as is. You may want to add the decepticon symbol to take up the space or center the title. Alsi, in regards to the title, it looks a little lo rez and fuzzy. If it was a low rez image may as well bring it into illustrator and create the title from scratch. This will give you the ability to change size, color effect with minimal work.

The images on the first one need some adjustment, they are out of place. Gravital is right you will struggle to fit the synopsis, credits etc...

I personally like your second one more than the first. The whole image as a whole is low res but may work for you if you apply the right filters. Kylumi likes playing with low res images so perhaps he may help if he replies to this thread. I am not a fan of the two images merging at the top of the spine. I personally think it would look better if you moved the title image/logo to the right (so it appears only on the front) to make it look more cleaner...

Ok, I made the changes to the back of the first one. The second one I filled in the blank spot, but I couldn't do anything about the resaloution or the top front going into the spine. The third is a new one and I think my personal favorit. I know what your gonna say so let me say it first. The new ones bar code had to be moved so you could read the writing at the top. No sinopsis is on this one because I don't think it's Needed. The other logos on the back have been moved as well because of where the bar code is. the first two covers still don't have a sinopsis because I haven't gotten around to it and my free tril of PS has run out and I ain't got the money right now to bye it. Hopefuly it won't be long before I can but untill then it looks like these will be my last last covers for awile.

I feel for ya and the PS demo/trial runnin out. Not that I would ever dream of doing so, but I have heard that there are ways around such things. with a little bit of searching I am sure you could clear up these rumors.

On to the covers.
I will start with the newest...#3
I like the idea behind it. I think with a little more time you could make it look spectacular. Some things I noticed.
#3
Front: The Autobot logo needs some lovin. There is a portion on the bot left corner that needs to be colored in. The pics are really low res. When print you may not even be able to tell but looking at it on a monitor you can see the pixelated portions especially around the edges.
Spine: The title looks low res. There has to be a better image out there. The widescreen banner on the bottom needs to shift left. there is a portion that remains between the reverse and it.
Reverse: Inter Actual logo, try and get a logo that matches the rest of the logos you have. It is just that infernal black that throws it outta whack. The background image... There is text in it that has become blurry. One way to fix is to cover it up with real text that you create. The other method is to remove it all together.
Apart from what I have mentioned before here is my take on the other 2
#2
Only issues that I see are the special features... :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: I know these well because I have typed them up before. Oh yeah and the name of the movie is in them. I am not sure if this is a placeholer or what but wrong film none-the-less. The image for the special features... Not sure why you included the white bars above and below. Was it to cover up something? I think that it would look better if you just cropped out what you did not want.

Again the TF title is a low res version, and the interactual logo issue that I mentioned before.

Good luck and hope you get that PS up and running soon!!!

AHHHHHHHH Sorry forgot things on #2
the text that covered that blank area on the front. I don't know if it is just me but I am gettin a westerny vibe from those bad boys. The Title peal/spine merge. 2 ways to fix. fade it out or just cut it off.
