Looking good chip. Its hard to tell but it looks like the poster on the front need to have the black levels adjusted. But apart from that it look nice and clean...;)

Hey chip718,
I like your concept.
Some things you may want to consider as you are finishing this up.
The main cover image that has the main cast masked into the "The De Part-ed" text, looks to have a lot of noise in it. I am not sure if that was intentional or not, but it looks like it was scanned without the descreen function.
For the grunge effect applied to the reverse side: At first glance I thought it was a damaged cover. I think that if you carry over the effect to the spine and front it will fit better.
The framing of the eyes in the back has an odd feeling to it for me. I think that if you make the images more of a horizontal strip it would fix the problem. It would as well take away from that oddity if each character's full eye set were included. It looks like they are lo-res images that were resized to fit your intent.
On the spine the HDDVD logo is competing with the title. I would suggest to either scale up the title or scale down the HDDVD logo.
Revese screen caps: Toss in a border so that they look more polished up. You could use the same effect that is on the reverse exterior. That would tie it together.

Thanks for the input. It isnt noise on the front that is how the poster (http://www.joblo.com/newsimages1/departedposter-big.jpg)is. I am not sure why they did it that way, but its there.

Yea the noise in the lettering makes it seem a little off, is that how the studio also cut the lettering?

You can try cleaning the noise on the logo if you wish. Select the layer with the poster and go to filter > noise > despeckle. Have a go at using this filter and see if you are happy with the result.

If the pics are behind the lettering the despeckle should work. If they are part of the lettering ie. one image, the despeckle may have some unwanted effects on the rest. I would suggest building a selection for just the photo images and then despeckle that.

Yep. Take a look at the original poster.

Yeah, figured as much. To fix just go with the selecting of the picture text and despeckle.
