Hey all, This is the front cover of a Van Helsing Wip I have been working on.. Alot of hours spent into this puppy, like 4 different kinds of mountains, 3 different sky's, all kinds of cloning.. Fun stuff.. Tell me what you think of it, give advise, maybe ideas if you have any.. All kinds of comments is appreciated.

Van Helsing and Valeria look slightly off tone with the rest of the picture. Try applying the same kind of grey tone that the brides have to our heroes. Not completely but enough to suggest that they are part of the picture but set apart from it at the same time. Am I making any sense? Sorry but I tend to ramble around before making any sense.

I love how you have arranged the front. I can see what MM means about the tone, but this is shaping up very nice indeed RP.

Yup, looks fantastic so far, like MM I`d like to see a tone that makes them apart of the cover but different to the rest.

Really nice. I like the concept. I agree with all. I assume you are looking for a layered or a 3D look, so it looks like Van Helsing and Valeria are part of the picture, but are comming off the cover. Right now their color is too bright. They look like they are standing in front of a picture. If you can tone them down, the front would be perfect.

Hello, well here is an update, Now I actually started from scratch, hope you guys like this one more, if not, it's cool, I will work until it is good... I provided 2 versions, one with a worn out border, and one with out. Let me know which is better.... Thanks

Strange as it may sound I like the borderless version better. If people are still desperate for the bordered version, you could put that on the back cover.

The front itself, I like. I also think you made a good decision in taking Anna out of the picture. As I recall my R2 copy she's on the cover and that made me think she had a bigger role in it, and she really doesn't come into it until a third the way through. With Van Helsing on his own, the tone is about his struggle and his story. Good choice, bud.

A suggestion I have would be maybe have lightning in the top right background. Here's a picture to show where I'm talking about.

I've also put in a lightning shot as well if that helps.

Good idea on the lightning, the lightning you supplied is a low rez though, so I looked for my own... Hope everyone likes..

I think top back pic could possibly look better if it was slightly darker and the colour of Jackman's face on the cutout looks a bit pinkish compared to the front one but all in all I like it very much. Any plans for the spine?

thanks guys. I am gonna re-work the back a little bit, darken it up, match the tones to the front.. Someone on another forum mentioned the lightning on the front cover wasn't in a good place.. What do you guys feel, I'll toy around with it and see how I like it i guess.. Will post an updated version soon, with a completed spine..

I really like it mate, the pic is alot better than the original, I thought the vampire sisters on the original was really good though, how come ya left them out?

I have just one thing...The movie had a blue ice tent to the film, maybe try to adjust the color filter with blue feel to it? Just an opinion, but it does look good.

The werewolf looks cool. I like how you perched the creature on the rock.

One thing, though. In the description, it says "Bram Stoker's fabled..." Actually Helsing in this film is more based on the Universal Studios version than anything else. Maybe you could say "based on a character created by Bram Stoker, Universal Pictures beloved monster hunter..."

I'd crack the rock underneath the wolf's feet. Maybe take the lightning from your front cover and invert it, overlay it on the rock and smudge and clone?

I like everything (there's that wolfman) about the last post of this cover except one little thing. I liked the lightning better in the picture below. It seems to me that in this pic, the lightning is natural, in the last post it looks like it was moved so his head wouldn't block it. I have a story (don't worry, I'm not going to tell it).

Yet another update...

Ok, I changed the lower left mountain on the front, Which then changed the spine a little bit.. Changed the font back to the Van Helsing font on the Synopsis, Changed the lightning bolt on the front cover.... O and I also fixed the screenshots to match the color scheme, but also keeping some color...

Glad u went back the old font for the synopsis RP - looks much better. The only thing I have a problem with is the thickness of the lightning on the front, where you've got it now it going behind the rocks it should be much thinner m8.

Really like it, looks great. One thing (bet you can't guess) the lightning. You can go back and forth with it and ultimately its your decision, but my 2 cents likes it better when some of it is behind his head. To me it looks more natural.

Ok, so I changd the synopsis font, not sure if it works... I changed the color to all the legals and credits to fit more with the color scheme I have.
