Select the logo in your layers palette then RIGHT CLICK for the POP-UP MENU..........SELECT BLENDING OPTIONS (second from the top) then look down the STYLES to COLOR OVERLAY. Just TICK the box and bingo..............you can do this to change or include DROP SHADOW, GRADIENTS and TEXTURES etc!

Been using your method and have no probs until today when i tried to change the colour of this logo, when i select colour the whole area changes colour and not just the logo, have i done something wrong?

Its the Regions_-_2_PAL_-Globe- logo found here http://www.dvdcoversfuzion.com/forum/showpost.php?p=362&postcount=3

It seems i can only change colour if theres a background, is that right?

It's on a white background.

Open that logo up alone in Photoshop.

Choose..., select>color range

A new box will appear showing you the logo. click on a white spot anywhere in the logo and click okay. It has now selected all the white. Hit the delete key.

Now you will have the black logo on the transparent background. To clean it up go to layer>layer style>color overlay. Select black (or any color you wish), and it should be ready to go.

Make sense?:biglaugh:

Excellent thank you very much SW. :)

I love this place everyones so helpful and i dont feel intimidated to ask 'stupid' questions like this. :D
Other places ive visited in the past seem to turn there nose up at you and your made to feel like your the dumbest person on the planet for asking these kinda things :(

I do try and work things out on my own but every now and then i get stumped so its good to know that i can always get fast straight forward answers here.
