Have just purchased some cases which look like dvd half size but I don't think they are.
The dimensions are
14cm front - 0.5cm spine - 14cm back with a height of 12cm
The dimensions are more or less the same as a cd case.
They are not as big as a hd/ blueray disk cases.
The only problem being is that you can shrink a cover down to these sizes but the spine remains the same width.
Has anyone else got any and if so will there be any covers for them?

I haven't heard of 5mm spine. 7mm is considered a thinpak which we have on certain titles. I even try to convert my own to thinkpak which are 7mm but not 5mm...first time I've heard of them.

I've got some of these m8, I think, but I only use them for computer discs and a few CDs - never use them for DVDs.
Basically the simple reason is the that spine size is only big enough for text really.
The pic is not very big but shows what they look like and the psd is a very simple template I use. I mainly backup my proggies and put them together in catagories and rar them up for safe keeping onto a DVD, then do a simple cover for them.
Size is 2936x1600 spine is 50
If you want to put DVD covers into this then you'll have to cut and paste the different parts and sort of rework them to fit.

Thanks for the input guys.
I have been experimenting with the fonts and stuff and, before I got these cases, I was using just ordinary cd slimline cases, obviously because they take up less room than normal dvd cases.
I made a template to the size I needed in Photoshop( 14cm x 14cm x 0.5cm x 12cm) and the shrunken cover comes out really good even the text....but it's still the spine that's the problem
So I know that you can use a ariel size 10 font onto a sheet of labels and that worked out fine.
Is there a way to shrink the spine cover down without losing the spine details

That's exactly the one that I have in your photo.
The template looks about right spine wise.
Will have a go and see what happens.
