entry 7 for me... It was a real close call with 7 and 4... entry 4 is really good too.... But a pinkish purple color for the alamo is pretty weird.....

Ah, darn it all to heck! Tarnations! I liked 'em all pilgrims! but for me it had to be #4.
It just screams classic western.

I understand your point and I agree with you.

Where I think we differ is our definition of creativity. I stick by an old saying, "If it ain't broken, don't try fix it".

Well, I must say that the entries yet again show some real talent!

My vote went to #7 for the outstanding hand coloring of the images, which must have taken ages to perfect! Magnificent job!

well im torn between number 1 and number 7. Number 7 has the wow factor with its eye catching colour scheme, but in the end i went for number 1. Thought the more subtle shades of blue and green looked fantastic and set off the black and white images perfectly. also it suited the film better and number 1 just screamed out gone with the wind. All were great entries, just those 2 stood out for me.

I was stuck on either 4 or 7. The only issue that swayed my vote was the spine pic on four. It seems to not fit the rest of the set. However, I really like the originality of the cover. Or maybe it is just the artwork that really brings the cover up from the rest. So, instead I went with seven. I think it is an excellent use of color. The reverse is a unique layout that fits quite nicely.

No 7, has to be..

whilst some of the others stand out, number 7 just has the edge.

I love Quiet Man No 1. Well thought out colours and this is why. Reading up on this the film is a 1950's black & white film which the artist has kept in the cover for posterity but then just slipped in colour to modernise it and bring interest to it without losing its originality...........love it!

Sorry guys the polls were closed when I finally got back on But my vote would have been for #6. Why? The others looked great but way to up to date and modern. #6 had a real feel of antiquity and form to it. If he was around in the 50's they would have definitely hired him to do their cover back then it was superb and made you feel like a real cowboy fan. Great job 6!
