Slipmeister 05-16-2008, 10:15 AM Something is bugging me about the sword on the back, it doesn't look right...but I cant think why. I've tried this cover and found it hard to get decent hires artwork. But I like this so far, very different from the standard covers. dragonbane 05-16-2008, 08:43 PM here an update progress so far, still got a few tweaks to do and also the credits boneapart 05-16-2008, 10:48 PM Looking really good. But just one small suggestion, maybe you could reduce the size of the spine title so that it isn't so near the edge. dragonbane 05-16-2008, 11:01 PM will get that sorted also just noticed a spelling mistake too. shaunofthedead9 05-19-2008, 04:51 AM Very nice cover so far dragonbane, can't wait to see it finished. gravital 05-19-2008, 10:23 PM Looking good. My reco would be to drag the spine TT and ornate line work down a bit further to balance it out. Aside from that you may also want to try and add in some glare on the TT background for the front. That would give it a glassy look. dragonbane 05-20-2008, 04:21 PM thanks for the comments guys, and gravital thanks for the suggestions as i'm still learning to use photoshop, wots the best way to add some glare like you mentioned? gravital 05-21-2008, 10:48 PM The easiest way that I know... If that dark back on the front TT is a seperate layer, then simply double click on the layer and add in a linear gradient. you will have to pick the colors (black white and a tinge of blue) or to make things a bit easier, pick a preset gradient and adjust the colors (something like a copper or a gold). After that just drop the opacity of the gradient so that it looks like glare/reflection of the enviornment. |
