recreation of the R4 retail cover

I didn't know what to put in the bottem right corner of the back, so I just added a fbi warning... any suggestions?

Also: is the quality of the large back image good enough? couldn't find any higher res of the image...
the front is supposed to be grainy

You're in the wip so here it is:
The special features does not fit at all there, i think you should change it.
I don't understand what's with the barcode there.
I think the back photo(the one with the 3 guys running) is a little low res.

Overall not a bad start :)

The barcode doesnt really need to be there at all as the space is pretty much filled without it.

Are those the actual special features as they dont seem to make much sense to me?
If you still want to include them, perhaps you could combine it with the spec box and make it one long box?

There's a couple of spelling mistakes in the synopsis.

You could get rid of one of Fox the logos on the back.

Bring the DVD logo/Pic and TT on the spine down

I also agree the back large pic needs to be of better quality and so does the front cover pic. Part of the spine title is overlapping the other part and the two spelling mistakes are Burows shou;d have two R's not one and the other spelling mistake id fardened, should be hardened... Otherwise quite a good cover...

Well you did say this a R4 recreation and because we in Aus have R4 covers I can say that the layout of the back is spot on with the the 20th Century Fox covers. So you are on the right track re-creating it. Although I know the placement of the barcode may look strange to the others, it looks normal to me because I see it all the time :D.

Personally I don't have a problem with the back picture. The filters you have used seem to hide any quality problems if they were there. Otherwise the cover is quite good at this stage.

In future updates, flat previews need to be 800 x 600 pixels or alternatively 72dpi.

Some good advice from the boys, just one small point if this is a Region4 recreation why put a Region1 logo on the back?

I literaly used an R4 scan and then replicated it, with very few changes. The other regions only had sreaming age-ratings on the back.


The place of the special features is just like the R4, including the text
(so it's funny u say the text itself doesn't make lotta sense, because thats what Fox actually puts on their retails)
the barcode is indeed huge, so i'll just replace the bottem with an R1 version.
I noticed Fox always puts the Fox film and Fox TV logo on all their covers, whatever region.
I'll change it if I can find something to replace it.

I wanted to resize the image because it's a preview, but then it wouldn't make much sense asking if the back image was low res
But I'll keep it. The textures and gradient map hide it quite well and it fits the front.
I used a R1 logo because I could't find a R4 one :)

I'll post an update when the bottem is adjusted.

well, i still guess that the back image from the running convicts are good, fits in well, maybe you should add it some noise to make it more like the front.

and another point, you should make the synopsis more exciting, maybe the first line should be white! :D sorry, i'm in the mood to criticize today!

very nice. one reco: it's a region one cover right? so you should remove ther R2 15-logo from the back.
