View Full Version : My Bleuberry Nights RE5PECT 04-02-2008, 12:58 PM As promised, here comes my new project... I still need credits and a few smaller ajustments, hope you guys have something to add... thorn 04-02-2008, 01:04 PM A shame that the front pic is not in a higher resolution. Otherwise really nice. RE5PECT 04-02-2008, 01:06 PM Where do I find one with higher resolution then? This one is from movieweb... I just saw the front is pushed a little to the left - it is corrected... RookerProductions 04-02-2008, 08:25 PM the bottom of the front where it says the sctors names, that is really low res.... RE5PECT 04-02-2008, 08:29 PM Hmm, thats the template background... The poster don't go down to the bottom of the front, maybe that's the lores... Anyway i have changed it... RE5PECT 04-02-2008, 10:13 PM This is what i have made so far... SilentWarrior 04-03-2008, 01:38 AM I have uploaded 2 posters for you if you do a search. The title is also spelt wrong on the spine. Should be 'blueberry' not 'bleuberry'. On the spine I can also see a light line stretching from the bottom right side. On the back I can see a black line under some of the screen caps. I would move the border up to cover that. Also check out the legals where the address is. It states 'Custom Cover by Darth Vong'...I would change that too ;) With the label I recommend removing the aqua border circling the disc. It's quite jaggie and isn't doing the label any favours. I also noticed that the name 'norah' is being cut off. Lastly, I also recommend changing the Dolby Digital logo as it looks blown up. Thats all I got for now. sleepyhead 04-03-2008, 07:28 AM Apart from what SW has suggested I'd reco that you redo the synopsis - it looks very untidy - try justifying it and increasing the leading a couple of pts. RE5PECT 04-03-2008, 04:42 PM I have corrected what you said, and I think it is finish... What do you guy say? Is it totaly bad or what? Please comment on the layout etc... thorn 04-03-2008, 07:23 PM Silent Warrior already uploaded a high res image for you. Yet you still use the loew res one. Change that and all in all it looks really good to me. ulookingatme 04-03-2008, 09:40 PM Heres the link to the poster SW uploaded;- http://www.dvdcoversfuzion.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=15426&catid=searchresults&searchid=422270 The synopsis seems a little squashed where the cast names and Capitals sit on top the rest of the text, you may need a slightly bigger gap between sentences. I think there should be an s on the end of Bonus Feature(s) Also an 'E' on the end of Alternativ(e) And Blueberry spelled Bleuberry also. Youve done nice work here with these finishing touches you should be good to go unless anyone else can spot anything :) RE5PECT 04-04-2008, 02:47 PM The poster you have uploaded, is only 72 dpi? Mine is 300 dpi? Why change it? RookerProductions 04-04-2008, 07:44 PM ok ok.. I just put the poster silentwarrior posted and put it on your cover, His poster is clearly a higher resolution... take a look... SilentWarrior 04-05-2008, 01:12 AM DPI has nothing to do with the quality of the poster. Anything can be changed to 300 dpi with just a click in PS. If you cover cover is 300 dpi (as it should be) then the poster will automatically become a part of that when you enter it into the cover. The only time time you would worry about the dpi of the poster is if you wanted to simply print out the poster alone. Even in this case you could just raise the dpi (without changing pixels) to print at the size you want. The only thing you need to remember is to have your 'cover' project file set to 300 dpi as this will be the final result. RE5PECT 04-05-2008, 02:03 AM Okay... I thought otherwise... Thank you for the help... This is the cover as it is finish... Hope you like it... RookerProductions 04-05-2008, 05:21 AM I just love your design, but 2 things to fix.... In the special features, blueberry is spelt wrong, and you put Alternativ ending, if you want to keep it that way, then theres an e at the end of alternative, but the correct way to say it is, Alternate Ending, and in the credits, Racheal weisz's name is also spelt wrong..... Once those are fix, you have your self a great cover man... good job.... sleepyhead 04-06-2008, 05:47 AM Looks much better and RP's has pointed out a few little mistakes that need correcting and while I'm just repeating myself, the synopsis spacing (leading) needs adjusting. It's spoiling what is a good cover IMHO. It's spoiling what is a good cover IMHO. :goodpost: The spacing between the lines should be raised. It does not look good with the letters from the line underneath going into the line above it. |
