Like I'm in the US so Region 1 but I lived in Germany and bought several German and UK (while vactioning) DVDs. Plus several Hong Kong and Japanese releases.

Since i have a multi region DVD Player i dont even look for region coding anymore, i just get what i want and whats cheapest hence tons of dvd's with different regions :D

I buy a lot from international suppliers especially if I am looking for a rare title that I cannot find locally.

I own the UK editon of Hostel on blu-ray. Good bless not having to worry about Region coding.

Now managed to make my PC and both my DVD players region free...now to work on my PS3...:lol:

The great thing is that most dvd players you can find simple HACKS to make them REGION FREE. I hacked my Magnavox the day I bought it. plays everything great.

EASTWOOD??? Is your version of Casshern have anything special on it that the US version doesn't have. I only speak English so I like having the option of DUBBED. Is that version Dubbed. The reason I ask is cause that movie is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to get it but havent decided if I should get REGION 1 or another region. Love your AVATAR TOO BY THE WAY.. GO Casshern!!!!!

The reason I get other regions is usually when there are a lot of extras that are not on the US R1 versions or sometimes.. things that just havent been released in the US.

Still havent ordered HOWARD THE DUCK!!!!!!! yet.. I would think that will hit the states soon seeing its been released in 2 other countries in the past 12 months.

I can only hope!!! lol. I really did like that movie.

I was going to buy 'Howard The Duck' as they have finally released the Full Uncut Version...except they have censored the bad language!!! so I look for an uncensored version somewhere.

Had my first R1 dvd that wouldnt play the other day due to region coding and im well pissed, its Dead Heat Divimax edition and wont play on my older but more expensive Sony player yet plays on the bedrooms shitty £15 player!!!!!

Unfortunately there appears to be no hacks on players over 7years old which mine is so may have to buy another!

Whats odd is that i have many R1 dvds and they play fine but this one wont, it just says 'Cannot be played due to region coding'

I'm having trouble with my Franka Potente collection...

Even though the movies I'm looking for will be Region 2 (my region), most of them I cant get here in the UK...so I will try to get them direct from Germany.
