View Full Version : Next Best Movie of 2008 SilentWarrior 01-07-2008, 10:55 AM We had a similar thread in 2007. 2008 holds much promise...so what does everyone think will be the next best thing this Year?? Eastwood 01-11-2008, 09:28 PM So far, I'd say Cloverfield. SilentWarrior 01-11-2008, 10:42 PM Cloverfield sounds like a good one. We have some big blockbusters this year as well, like Indiana Jones, Dark Knight and James Bond 22. I think we have a pretty good year for movies ahead of us. Eastwood 01-13-2008, 10:00 AM Casino Royale sucked in my opinion. Dark Knight might be good. HELLBOY 2 and SAW V also. tightline_69 01-13-2008, 05:08 PM I think Hellboy 2 should be a hit as well as The Dark Knight. I think however that Rambo is going to be a flop as you can only revisit the same story line so many times. ABU NOOR.DVD 01-29-2008, 06:55 AM This looks good:jedi::Lurking::multi: Ar3d 01-30-2008, 07:20 AM Definitely the much awaited film of this year was, The Justice League of America. and i can't wait the impact of this movie in around the globe. Eastwood 01-31-2008, 02:18 AM I think JLA is on hold due to the Writer's Strike. Honestly, the movie I'm waiting for is going Straight-To-DVD Fall 2008. Alone in the Dark II. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0913951/ Gabo 02-02-2008, 05:18 PM what do you all think about the new movie of Street Fighter, I think is coming out on 2008 also what about 10,000 BC it may be a great movie shaunofthedead9 02-04-2008, 04:09 AM I believe The Dark Knight will be very big. Still kind of iffy about the new Indiana Jones. Also Ed Norton as the Hulk should be promising. I still think the new James Bond should be good. A lot of great movies on the horizon. sgathan 03-27-2008, 11:54 AM My favorite for this years best movie is The Dark Knight (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/)! Here are few other movies that looks promising: Righteous Kill (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1034331/) Burn After Reading (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0887883/) The Incredible Hulk (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800080/) Speed Racer (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0811080/) Max Payne (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0467197/) Demonology 03-27-2008, 03:49 PM Some films and what i think:- Dark Knight - Sad but unfortunate passing of Heath Ledger will higher the profile of the movie more (even though it doesn't need it as batman begins was superb) James Bond 22 (Quantum of Solace) - should do very well as i enjoyed Casino Royal was a nice refreshing change to the Franchise Indiana Jones - will do well anyways just for the fact ( Lucas, Speilberg and Ford) working together again Incredible Hulk - half and half with this one after the new trailer seems they gone all cgi again so this could very well take a swan dive Righteous Kill - First class line up but the trailer makes this movie seem low budget and don't think Pacino or De Niro could save it.... Max Payne - As much as i like Mark Wahlberg films and him as an actor i just can't help feel this is gonna be a let down like most video game to movie films... only conversion i liked was Silent hill. Wanted - anther star line up but just like the movie jumper feel this is gonna be a disappiontment Ironman - looks pretty good and nice to Downey jr back in a leading role and putting his personal problems behind him, i'm waiting to see this :) Forbidden Kingdom - Jackie Chan Jett Li <---- same movie should rock and be very funny also The Happening - as said previously Mark Wahlberg fan this may prove a very good film but have the nagging doubt it's gonna end badly like most of M. Night movies Street Kings - Keanu Reeves i like him in most films but this movie looks like a rip off of Training Day Life Before Her eyes - set around a tragic High School inccident and from the makers of House of Sand and fog so it should be a very interesting watch... Hancock - Will Smith can't help but think this is gonna tank as he's lost alot of his charisma recently Speed Racer - looks like a good popcorn flick but think the Wachowski Bros will never top the Matrix Trilogy |
