Looking good Jay! But I think you could do with making the Spine Title smaller...

A nice start Jay5. I know you say you have some more to do on the back. Right now I think there is too much space between the letters. I also feel that each synopsis would look better aligned. Look forward to seeing your progress.
thanks for all the tips here is a new version

Just a few thoughts, something you might consider: Legal text and rating should be better aligned with your spec box. Use the guidelines to accomplish that.
I like your general idea of using comix pics for this project, and while I think you pull it off on the front - very nice and simple, the back is a little bare.
For a first cover though, I think you're more than just on the right track! Keep it up, m8!

I agree that the back does come of as bare. However it is difficult to add things to this because it is a trilogy. You cannot add in credits or special features. That would wind up overcrowding the back.
So my advice is to expand on what you alreadu have. In the theme of Illustration/comic art.
In comics you will often see an establishing shotin the beginning. These tend to be of the enviornment in which the story is taking place. It grounds you by letting you know where/when you are. Something that you could apply to this is the use of the text boxes seen in these Illustrayions. Not the talking bubbles or the cloudy thought callouts.
Instead just simple rectangles placed here and there. This could house the synopsis for each movie. To pull it off you may have to change the body text to a more common serif font that you would see in a comic book.
If this is something that you do decide to tackle then keep in mind that while they are square boxes they do not have to be placed in uinform. The size could be altered so that they re not so uniform. Part of the box could be placed behind the picture that it matches or even in front of. Things of that nature will make it all the more appealing to your eye.
As for the pics thoughout the cover. Try an overlay or luminosity blend option on the layer of each pic. This will help with pushing the texture of the paper through and making the artwork look like it is actually printed upon it.
The marvel logo... I would lose the box around it. I just think that it does not match the rest of the logos you have.
For your first you are doing well. Keep up the good work.

Not bad. I wish you would tie a shot of venom in there but that's just my love for the character coming out. It looks like you are close to finishing. Good work so far.
