I think it's done. Let me know before I upload. This is for the single disc 2003 Universal release. Thanks!

Looks cools SOTD9! The only thing I'm not too keen on is the res of the front pic... but since this is an oldtimer... then my guess is that it's hard to come by a more hires version.

The whole build-up looks good to me. Great effort here!

Yeah, it's the highest I could find and I exhausted all of my resources. I am still trying something with it as we speak. It's bothering me.

This is the one i had when i was searching for resources.

Your welcome to use if you think it its any different as i doubt i will be using it on my cover, it looks about the same quality though as whct youve got so no real improvement i dont think!:)

Played around with the front some more, I put a half tone mask over it to mask the rough image. Let me know if it looks better.:dunno:

EDIT:
Worked on it some with the smart blur and such and have come to a compromise. I am finally happy!:multi:

Here this is a little trick to make low qual images look a little better.

make 2 copies of the front image. Just the pic.

On one apply a filter noise/ despeckle.

One the other apply noise/ median at a value of 1 or 2.

Take the layer with median applied to it and drop it over the one with despeckle.

Drop the opacity of the median layer so that it hides the dots and pixelation of the low qual but still has a good edge and line quality.

That should fix the image. If not you may want to experiment with a smart blur. This will blur only large portions of color while retaining edges and lines. It is a bit tricky but with some finesse you should be able to pull off a better rendition of the front image.

I will take a look and see what I can come up with g-man. I tried the smart blur, just didn't like what I saw. But will continue to fart around with it.

Edit:
I updated the above image with my final and satisfied cover.
