Here is my Godzilla 2000: Millennium DVD Cover and Disc Design. Some of the images are LQ but what can you do. I have 2 HD-DVD designs for Silent Hill which are still in the works.

View Full Version : Godzilla 2000: Millennium Cover and Disc & 2 HD-DVD Covers for Silent Hill Eastwood 11-10-2007, 12:28 AM Here is my Godzilla 2000: Millennium DVD Cover and Disc Design. Some of the images are LQ but what can you do. I have 2 HD-DVD designs for Silent Hill which are still in the works. gravital 11-10-2007, 03:45 AM The preview of Godzilla looks good to me. The SH version I like is a split between the two. I like the back of the first one with the figure offset to the left and I like the front of version two. The offset figure I would reco could even go further left. This would open up a layout that would compliment the cover. The front of version two I like due to the incorporation of the TT in the background image. However it does look low rez. There also looks to be a layer that has been left behind ner the spine. I am not sure ehat it is but looks a little similar to a spine bend. Keep pluggin away at it and I am sure it will turn out fine. SilentWarrior 11-13-2007, 01:25 AM Godzilla Cover: There is a black line on the right side of the spine which I recommend cloning out. I recommend raising the black levels of both the back and front. The front image is lower quality than the back. I can the pixels showing through. Apply a slight gaussian blur to help fix that. Silent Hill: Looking nice but the images are lower quality. I'd imagine there are higher quality images out there for this movie. However I assume that you really like these 2 and couldn't find HQ versions. I know this is still a WIP but I try to fill the UPC details correctly. Don't leave the #00000 or xxxx-xxxx. I have always thought that if a barcode is to be included, type the correct details, or don't put it in at all...however this is up to you in the end. Some logos are also overlapping the legals but I know you probably edit that on the final. Otherwise a good job here Eastwood. Looks forward to see what you come up with m8 :) shaunofthedead9 11-13-2007, 02:19 AM On the second Silent hill cover, I would go ahead and pull the whole image to show the Welcome to Silent Hill. You could possibly highlight the Silent Hill part on the sign to draw out the title of the movie(I hope this makes sense). The first Silent Hill cover just doesn't do it for me, but the second one is on the right track. Keep it up! boneapart 11-13-2007, 09:45 AM Hi Eastwood. It seems all the important comments have been stated. So just try to follow the advice given... |
