I need Help clean nozzles of epson r200 printer.
I just can't seem to get the black to work.
I tryed alcohol, and liquid inkjet cleaner liquid.
I am very sad as I can't print my covers.

Does any black come at all?
Ive got the r300 and you can select clean nozzle check and head cleaning etc, i take there's no such function for the r200?
Is it a new cart or old one? If its an old one it could be run out and new one may not of had seal broken properly?

It sounds as though your printer head is blocked. Sometime the head can be unblocked with alcohol. It happened to me once with an old Epson printer. I used methylated spirits and unblocked it but it was never perfect. You might want to look at replacing the entire head. My current HP printer takes cartridges with built on heads. So I effectively change the head each time I replace the cartridge.

Yes, it has clean nozzle check and head cleaning, but the black won't come out.
Using refilliable cartrigdes, filled all 6, the 5 colors were fine, but not the black.
I have tried clean and prime and nozle check so many times, now the colors are empty again.
I guess no more epson printers for me.

try this m8
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
allows you to clean just the black ink so your not wasting ink from the rest of the ink tanks......
But all honest sounds to me as if it's knackered and to replace the head your better off buying a new 1......Don't get the r265 it's a nightmare finding cheap ink for it lol.....

Ok stupid question time but did you peel off the little sticker properly that creates a vacuum to stop the ink spilling out?
I didn't remove mine once and was pulling my hair out for hours trying to see why the ink wasn't running lol :D
Also did you fill the cart yourself or was it a shop as i had a shop do mine once(although not for the epson) and they didn't fill it properly and it never worked right? :(

Hi Demonology,
Yes, I had found that utility, but only after I wasted the ink in the color cartrigdes. The utility does support th epson r200.
Hi ulookingatme,
Yes, I took the plastic coving the bottom of the cartridge. I even have a tool that allows you to extract ink from the bottom of the cartidge.
All,
The cartridges I am using are special ones that are refillable, this is the second time I am trying to refill them, the first time, I had a little trouble with the black, but once I got the black flowing, it worked great untill in ran out of ink again.
The sad thing is I can't print my missing DVD covers, right now, may have to fall back to my old HP 870 printer, dosn't print as high a quality (not photo) but at least it prints.
Thanks,
