It may seem small to you but these would ake me abot 15-30 mins to dowload a piece. You have to take into consideration those that do not have super fast connections. For the WIP section you only need to put full images if asked to do so. We can give a ton of advice off of a smaller preview size image. So, adjust the resolution to 72 ppi and repost. If you need some assistance in the preview size set up please follow this link http://www.dvdcoversfuzion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2245 and download the tutorial I made for DW on post #11 From what I can see in the thumbnails I think the first cover is the stronger of the two. The reason is basic design. In the first layout you have balanced the reverse with the use of text on top and below the main image. The second has a large portion of negative space that is not used. Something else you may want to consider is putting the image at the bottom of the reverse. JZ1276 10-22-2007, 07:23 AM sorry about that....the cover is done and I agree with what you said and chose the first one. Before I post it in showcase should I still resize it? gravital 10-22-2007, 07:53 AM Yes, that is the prefered method. boneapart 10-22-2007, 09:57 AM I agree with Gravital that the first one is best, but having looked at the previews closely, I can see that the image on the back is Low resolution and has also been very badly cut out. You would need to find a more Hi-Res pic for the back and make sure the if it's a cut-out, that's it is cut out properly and without any jagged edges. Other than that, this would make a nice cover... What tool would you recommend for a better cut out? I dont think I could cut it out better anyway if i tried. boneapart 10-23-2007, 12:12 AM i think the res on that pic was something like 1200 x 1000. I thought i cut the pic out perfectly lol. I use Paintshop Pro. and I usually use the point too point, it's slower than the magnetic but more precise... You could also try the soften brush on the edges, at least that would make the edges cleaner... boneapart 10-23-2007, 01:22 AM I've edited your pic for you, but since you got it from cdcovers the resolution isn't very good. So this is the best I could do... http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/849/trueromancepictureeditecd0.jpg |
