I was just wondering thoughts on this particular program for making DVD covers. I am just getting started and am going to play around with it so I can kinda get a feel of what to do

Photoshop is a great program and the one I use. I have switched to CS3 a few months back but CS2 is great as well. If you're looking to start designing, Photoshop CS2 is a good choice but as with every program there will be some learning to do.

I do not have it but I do have an earlier version (way earlier). PS is the best that is out there. Not only will you be getting an application that has passed the test of of time you will also be getting something that is the standard when it comes to design. Yes there are apps out there that yield similar capabilities for slightly less. However, they are not used as widely as PS and therefore getting help with issues may be limited to their helpdesk.

Thank you for the feed back. I figured I would give this program a try so that I can learn the process of designing covers.
