View Full Version : Recent Error Messages
ricciorules 10-15-2007, 07:51 PM Can someone please help me out here. I've posted a few covers overe the course of a few months, but recently I've been having trouble with the site. I'm getting a lot of "Error Message, operation must abort" messages everytime I'm on this site. Also, I can't upload anymore for some reason, It always brings me to a "Page cannot be displayed," page after I submit my cover. Anyone have any thought on what I should do?
Thanks
gravital 10-15-2007, 11:31 PM How long did it take you to upload a cover / label before? What are the sizes of the files that you are trying to upload? Do you have a slow internet connection? Are you using the same computer as before?
There may be an issue with your session timing-out in the middle of an upload. However, this would give you the option to log back in.
I will direct the proper person to this post and hopefully have ya uploading soon.
SilentWarrior 10-16-2007, 12:59 AM Are you using Internet Explorer 7 by any chance?
ricciorules 10-16-2007, 01:43 AM yes i am
ricciorules 10-16-2007, 01:44 AM I am on the same comp, but a different connection. It would take like 20 seconds before hand, now it doesn't do it at all.
SilentWarrior 10-16-2007, 01:55 AM My main browser is firefox and have had no problems using it. However when I have tested IE on occasions I have experienced this issue myself randomly. It seems it has troubles loading a particular module, which other websites also experience. I will see if I can fix this problem, but in the mean time all I'd recommend is trying another browser other than IE.
ricciorules 10-16-2007, 04:55 AM Thanks man!
ricciorules 10-16-2007, 05:18 AM i tried firefox, but got the same message. i think its my connection. I run on a LAN, i used to run on wireless.
ricciorules 10-19-2007, 03:38 PM I'm still unable to upload, and am still getting error messages
SilentWarrior 10-21-2007, 07:23 AM I am unsure why you are getting an error when uploading. I haven't had any other reports of uploading problems. Perhaps you are not selecting a category or it may be timing out for you if you have a slower connection.
JZ1276 10-22-2007, 04:12 AM ive had trouble uploading recently also
gravital 10-22-2007, 06:14 AM Are you experiencing the same issues that ricciorules is?
I think that I have the slowest connection out of everyone here and am still able to get them in there. What are the sizes of the covers and/or labels that you are uploading?
Are you uploading one at a time or multiple files at once.
Are you making sure that the files uploaded are meshing with the size criteria.
Try and get some smaller file sizes and see if that works. I know it may sound funny and something that you would not like to do (taking quality away from the image). However, In Photoshop when you save a jpeg there is that window that pops open and asks at what level of compression/jpeg quality you would like to save it as. Most of the time you will usually set it to 12 and not think about the size. Try setting it to 11 or 10. This will cut the size considerably (at least half). You will also not see a difference in the quality. At that level the only compression that takes place is slight color shifts. These are so miniscule that your eye will not even be able to notice.
Let me know the outcome of any of these attempts. If you are still experiencing some probs let me know the exact procedure that you are doing from start to finish. There has to be an explanation that we are overlooking.

I think it is, is there a way to fix it?
gravital 10-25-2007, 03:27 AM Have you tried any of the advice that I offered in post #12
At what spead does your connection upload at? hThe only advice on trying to spead up your connection that I have is make sure that you do not have multiple browser windows open. By limiting what you are looking at while uploading the connection should move faster.
If your trasfer rate is anything below 4.0 KB/Sec you may want to cll up the service provider and see why it is sooooo slow.
ricciorules 10-25-2007, 04:51 AM how do i see how fast the speed is?
SilentWarrior 10-25-2007, 04:54 AM You seem to have uploaded this cover (http://www.dvdcoversfuzion.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=10625&catid=member&imageuser=10001) a few days ago and it went through.
gravital 10-25-2007, 08:47 PM how do i see how fast the speed is?
When your are downloading a file download box will pop up. In there you can see the current progress of what you are downloading and the spead at which it is doing so.
dragonwarrior 10-25-2007, 10:08 PM i get this problem, but i keep trying and eventually (after so many goes) it works. ya no about the prob's with trying to get rar'd stuff, but i just got the logo's without any bother
ricciorules 10-26-2007, 01:34 AM i uploaded that file at my home computer, i'm at school now though.
SilentWarrior 10-26-2007, 01:48 AM Schools and colleges will usually limit your connection and this is most likely why you were having problems...and why its work on your home computer.
