If so, here are a few free tools and bits that I did'nt see listed elsewhere:
Project Dogwaffle (http://www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/products/index.html)
A bitmap programme with tonnes of options. It also has a free download version of the older 1.2
Apophysis (http://www.apophysis.org/index.html)
A free fractal programme that can give some nice effects. Finished items can be exported as PNG's for overlays.
Font Freak (http://www.fontfreak.com/index3.htm)
A load of free fonts. The whole lot can be downloaded for under $10 if you want to.
