This is the first cover I've ever made from scratch. I usually have just compiled a bunch of scans and made covers that way. Anyway the image isnt high res bc I couldnt really find one I liked. I'd like to outline the red text with white on the spine so it sticks out more..anyone know how to do that with Photoshop ? Also, I dont think I want to add the credits for both of these movies on the back bc I think it would look too cluttered...

ok i scrapped the MI cover and just finished working on a cover for Hard Eight.....does it look finished ?

I like the general idea of the cover, but like you say, the front pic is too Low Res... The two pics on the back need aligning and the back text would look much better justified.

To outline the text: If it is a text layer or a transparency image of only the text... double click the layer check stroke and adjust the color and weight of the line according to your preferances.

As for the actual cover, boneapart is correct the main image is too low res. It is also distorted in being squashed. When adjusting the scale make sure that you are holding the shift key down to maintain the ratio of the image. Otherwise you get a distorted image.
Why just 2 and 3? Why not just do all of them? It would make more sense to me if it was a coloection cover instead of a 2 and 3 cover.
The screen caps on the back need to be worked on a little more. Right now they look simply place in . Try and make them fit into the scenario you have set up. Or create some borders for them that give ema little flair on their own. This will also help in figuring out what you are going to do with the text. Intead of center justification get creative in the placement and bordering of your text.
These are the woes of custom covers or pleasures; however you see it.
