I got my VCD, In English with Thai Subs, of the film yesterday (Tuesday). I saw it in theaters before they took it off here in Hawai'i, I enjoyed it. One thing about the Thai VCD I disliked was that it was in Full Frame and not Widescreen, but considering I only spent $8.50 on it, I'm not really going fret over it. Has anyone else seen it? (Also, if anyone wants a scan to see what the VCD cover and discs look like feel free to ask).

Seen the movie or the VCD version? Saw the movie but not the VCD. I liked it. I thought it was another well done film.

The movie, I know most people probably don't have a clue on what a VCD is.

I'm not complaining that it's $8.50. It's a cheap way to obtain the film, the subs don't really bother me either.

Maybe it is just me...
I can not stand seeing subpar movie copies. I have had many chances to see new films but opt out due to low quality/bootleg versions.
Transformers, 300, pretty much anything that has come out in the last 6 months. I refuse to see these low qual versions. I will wait until I get back home, a year from now to watch them the way they were intended to be seen. Now seeming as I can't see them in the theater, you can image that my home theater is quite nice.
So, I just can't grasp why anyone would want to own let alone watch a downgraded version of the original.

Oh, since you're in Iraq and bootleg DVDs are everywhere.

That is just the point. It is crazy how little most people here care for films. I can not understand what enjoyment someone can get from watching a movie that has a head/s in the foreground, jostled camera, partial jacket, in a laguage that they don't understand, horrid sound, skewed angle, etc, etc, etc. Why even waste your time?

I remember in 2004, I got two in particular from my family member in Iraq and my god talk about some extremely ZOOMED in footage, um, let me just say it was a comic book movie that came out and we see a MARVEL logo and all you see "MAR" and part of the "V". I was totally bummed out by it. Then I got a few that were decent.

Great movie. I liked it more than Days.
