Personally, I am at this stage undecided. kylumi 03-13-2007, 02:21 PM me too:eek: venkireduk 03-20-2007, 01:56 AM Me personally I think HD-DVD will win the fight just because HD-DVD makes more sense than Blue-ray. VHS vs Beta, film vs digital, DVDR- vs DVDR+, etc. As of right now I have not spent much time thinking about it. Today, Apple announced updates to their MacBook Pro line of laptops. The updates include an HDCP compliant (required for Blu-ray playback) nVidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics card and an optional 1080p display for the 17" model. Both of these additions to the product line strongly hint that a Blu-ray drive announcement is forthcoming, possibly as early as next week during Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). ALSO..............Primera Technology today added to its Blu-ray Disc duplication offerings with its Bravo XRP-Blu Disc Publisher. Bravo XRP-Blu records and prints CD-R, DVD?R and BD-R formats with two drives and 100-disc capacity. Went with Blu-ray due to studio support. ulookingatme 06-07-2007, 05:29 PM Havent a clue about either. Fill me in on some news of each pros and cons etc. Do you need special player to play them and will one player play both formats as well as the current DVD's? Also do you need special TV to watch them on to get the nost out of it? As i said i havent a clue but i guess in time we will all have to decide one way or another :D James Bond 06-12-2007, 01:13 AM Having owned a PS3, I was disapointed with the Blu Ray line up, (baring in mind I'm in the UK, so not a lot of the top films have been released here yet). I got rid of my PS3 a couple of weeks ago, opted for a 360 with the HD add on, seems to be a much better line up (IMO). I'm surprised Blu Ray is winning, it's more expensive than HD, but ah well, I rate both formats, I think Blu Ray probably edges it though (as far as size and potential go). Hailstorm 06-29-2007, 03:09 AM I have a Sony BDP-S1 and love it. kylumi 07-03-2007, 11:36 PM have you got the TV to go with it Hailstorm:biglaugh: Hailstorm 07-22-2007, 02:07 AM I have 56 inch 1080P DLP by Panasonic. mehdi5 07-22-2007, 10:47 AM I'm going with Blu-Ray. kylumi 07-24-2007, 09:55 PM I have 56 inch 1080P DLP by Panasonic. Yep, you got the TV alright m8:thumbup: Batjokeriddle 08-20-2007, 11:19 PM Bring on the Transformers:D link bellow http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/pressrelease_paramounthddvdex08202007.html shaunofthedead9 08-26-2007, 05:48 AM My whole stance on the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray matter is I don't care who wins as long as I get my HD fix. After watching both(format neutral, and owner of both) watching stardard definition is like watching VHS instead of DVD. Each platform has their good points and bad, but until there is a winner declared I am living with pure HD bliss! :jedi: The battle continues... |
