View Full Version : Why you haven't seen as much of me lately.
boneapart 08-17-2007, 01:16 PM Just wanted to let you know why I haven't been on the site much recenetly. Firstly on the 19th July 2007 My brother passed away. Then just over a week ago I started to get a sharp pain in my chest when I breathed and all my kneck and shoulders became very painful and I had a nasty taste in my mouth. It got so bad that I had to call an Ambulance. However, they gave me an ECG, where they put all those wires onyou and also gave me a blood test. They said that they could find anything wrong and they released me the same day. However the pain etec., still persisted and it was so bad, I was getting stressed. I made an appointment with the doctor and he gave me some tablets and medicine, But again after a couple of days it was still the same, so I went to see the doctor again. This time I saw a different doctor and when I explained the symptoms he said he'd had similar trouble in the past himself and suggested I have an Enoscopy. So I am now waiting for an appointment. Most of the time I feel really run down and haven't even wanted to go on the Internet.(Which is not like me). But today I feel a little bit better knowing at last that I might get to the bottom of this. So meanwhile if you don't see much of me, you know why.

boneapart 08-23-2007, 11:02 PM Thanks for all you kind words. Just to give you an update...
I've had 3 Blood Tests and was told they didn't find anything. I'm awaiting the results of a fourth more extensive Blood Test. I've also had 3 ECG's and they haven't shown anything abnormal. Today I went for an Ultra Scan and was told they didn't find anything. I'm now waiting to go for an Endoscopy on the 5th. September... Hopefully, They should then be able to find what the problem is. So far they seem to think it's a Stomache & Gullet problem. At the moment, I am feeling much better than I did a few weeks ago. I'll keep you informed of my progress and once again afor you concerns and good wishes.
Napoleon was killed not by a British assassination, but by dreadful French food, according to a new study.

ulookingatme 08-28-2007, 05:01 PM Wow thats shocking news boney, i guess you always think doctors are untouchable in there work and will always find out whats wrong.
Fingers crossed the fourth blood test and Endoscopy brings good news, keep us informed mate :)
boneapart 09-07-2007, 12:35 AM I had the Endoscopy on the 3rd.September and I got the results today. I was told that I have a stomache problem that is called "Helicobacter Pylori" and I have been prescribed a course of Antibiotics. Hopefully this should get rid of the infection, but apparently nobody seems to know a great deal about this illness or what causes it in the first place. They say it is common in males over the age of 50 years. I looked it up on the Net, but they say even if it is removed it can start up again. Also they say getting rid of it can then cause other types of stomache problems. So I'll just have to see if these Antibioctics do the trick...

Wow, WTF! Who comes up wth this. It sounds more like an instance of a chopper hitting a pylon than a tummy prob. Well boneaprt, hope all works out and at least ya know what the prob is now.

Thanks gravital... Believe it or not, I had this "Helicobacter Pylori" about 11 years ago and they said the antibiotics had got rid of it, but apparently you can get this illness more than once.
SilentWarrior 09-08-2007, 01:27 AM Its good news that you know what it is, and that Antibiotics can help. Get better soon m8 :)
