Have any of you done any DVD repackaging?

For example I'm a Stargate Fan (no judgement calls please) :)

When I started buying the complete boxes seasons they came in large boxes that held (6 or 7) individual full sized amary (sp?) dvd cases. Now that stargate is on to Season 10 or is it 11.. they've changed the case format midstream (I HATE THAT) to a much more slim-line compact format... (but I do like the new space saving design)..

In short... Since my 'wall of DVDs' is getting outta hand 500 movies and gobs of TV series. All the Star Treks (I do mean ALL of them) - Stargate - Angel - Buffy - Smallville - Alias - Andromeda - Babylon 5 - etc etc etc.. (notice any pattern here....)

So... Have any of you guys gone this route? (Repackaging box sets to save space) and if so what kinda cases have worked best...

Enquiring minds need to know! :)

I don't have a large collection of T.V series although if I did I would most likely repackage them for the reasons you mention.

You can get a 6-way single amaray case. Will fit 6 discs and allows you to use a standard cover. A good space saver IMO.

Yep that's what I was looking at doing... I just need to find out which cases are the 'good/best' and/or what cases I should clearly stay away from and then who/where would I buy them from...

They do work well. You can also purchase 8 disc cases depending on what series and how many discs are needed.

I guess ebay would have, although I personally tend to stay away from ebay if I can. I'm no expert in terms of value, try http://svp.co.uk/ if in the UK and www.meritline.com/ if in the US.

I use 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 disc cases from GenysisDTP. I have used 6 disc sleeve cases in regular spine size, but I can't get them anymore. I don't like the overlapping cases.
