not sure if this is the correct forum, but I was just curious what type of paper to use also what size since im printing HD-dvd covers. And lastly should I use photo ink or will regular hp ink work. The printer I have is an HP-4150 all-in-one. Not the greatest for photos, but im in college and not well off yet. thx for all the help.

You can use matte or semi-gloss paper. I personally prefer semi-gloss because it has that slight shimmer. Whatever you do, don't print on gloss because you will find that the cover sticks to the plastic.
You can use either colour or photo ink. I have both and find that the photo ink produces more vivid colour results.

I tried printing a cover of "300" for an HD-dvd and i found that the picture was about a half inch small/short in width and 1.4 inch smaller in height. I also printed on glossy KODAK paper. Do you prefer HP paper better? I will use semi-gloss from now on, but I need to figure out why the image printed just a tad smaller than it was suppose to. Another thing that I found was that when you cut out the image, the edges or say the "thickness" of the paper shows as white, so you can see a small white stripe on the edges of the images once its all cut out, is there a smaller thickness that I can use? thx for all the help.

The current paper I use has a thickness of 165g/m^2. I have always used HP paper...I'm very happy with it. Also make sure your printer is set to print at actual size and that the correct dimension is set. If you are using letter size, set the printer to letter, if A4 set the printer to A4 etc...

Some people go around the edge of the cover with a black/dark marker pen to lose the white edges....but for me, life's way too short to do that!
