I have seen a few thread on this in the helpdesk. I have have attached an updated file which contains 2 - 12 individual spine sets to make it easier.

To use simply add logo's, title, images etc to each row. To select each spine individually, make sure 'snap to guide' is active and select each spine with the marquee tool. Then 'copy merged' and then paste into the cover.

There may be other ways of doing this however this method allows you to preview how the spines look together before applying them to your cover.
