After about 2 years of printing with this printer i've finally got the dreaded Service Request message appear...

Parts inside your printer are near the end of their service life. See your printer documentation.

I know this is something to do with the waste ink pad, and i've got the SSC Utility, and i know there's a workaround for this, but can't remember where i've seen it......anyone know??

Thanks buddy, i think i've got it cracked now.Have done the workaround, and am just about to fire up the printer....so hopefully it'll still work!

WOW! Have set up the waste ink tube to go into an empty water bottle, at the back of the printer, and you wouldn't believe the amount of ink that comes out when you do a head clean! Glad i've got a CIS now......
