View Full Version : Movie poster marquee frame

Hi all,
I am looking for images or vectors of a movie poster marquee, you know like the ones they have at the theater with the lights around it and the coming soon banner on the top, they hold the one sheets. It would be really great if it was something made in Photoshop or AI, but sad to say I don’t have those skills, if possible I would rather it be a straight on view and not askew.

I would like to use this in an interface I’m making for my HTPC to display my movie collection on the screen 5 or 6 movies across.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter
Al

Some examples of what you're after would be good m8.
Cuts out any confusion, I for one have no idea what a movie poster marquee is, to me the word marquee means tent.
Maybe I'm slow on the uptake but that's obviously not the meaning here - or is it?

I'm thinking that he wants something like this

14699

14698

or this

14700

Ah, I see, yep the first two are what he probably means bb.

Seen as this is for a HTPC, wouldn't the video system ratio need to be taken into account, whether it's pal or ntsc etc.

Sorry for the confusion,

Batboysmatboy is correct, the first two pics are what I am looking for.
I guess they are also called “Movie poster cases” or “Movie poster light boxes”

Here is what I’m looking for but I need them to be a straight ahead view like the first two Batboysmatboy posted.

Thanks again.
Al

I've had a mess around and came up with this.

Tell me what you think.

I just stuck the top text in for show it can say anything you want, also any of the colours can be changed and I'll tweak the file to your preference.
I'd be willing to take anything away or add something extra - within reason.

The dark gray background is there just to show up the frames better.
The size is 3800x1600 and it can be saved as a transparent png or gif, but not eps (too much work).

I hope you haven't downloded the above file in post#6 it's just a preview.
I've uploaded it to the Tools Of The Trade Forum, you can download it here (http://www.dvdcoversfuzion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11018)

You're welcome RP and bpm, cheers.
